Interesting proverb: “Reculer pour mieux sauter” = “Move/step backwards to leap forward better”. Also used sarcastically when someone is procrastinating… Therefore mieux, here, doesn’t really refer to the ‘quality’ of your jump. But rather to its inevitability.
