In Mexico, Voodoo dolls get the vote!

Voodoo dolls of presidential election candidates have gone on sale in Mexico. Manufacturer Alberto Nava is selling the Vuducratas dolls (top) for £6 each, reports UOL Noticias Populares. The dolls have the politicians’ faces and come with needles and a map that show the best areas to put them. A needle in the left eye is supposed to make the politician more transparent, a needle in the heart denotes honesty, while the right hand is for common sense. Mr Nava said: “It is like long distance acupuncture” (Ananova).
Now this is an idea that should be adopted globally. What country’s residents would not find the stress-defusing properties beneficial during elections?

this week looks to push the envelope. Along similar lines, Oso Raro over at Slaves of Academe has a good article about Gay Pride Weekend. Since we’re on the subject of Herr Bush, Geekette over atThis & That, Ceci Et Cela uncovers these Mexican voodoo dolls: [IMG ] posted by chris | 6/26/2006 | 0 comments
