NOT your mama’s ceramics

Ceramics art works by Shigeki Hayashi from series 1 and 2 of his aptly titled “Entertainment Ceramics”. Although his pieces may appear to be made of plastics or PVC, they’re actually all ceramics produced via firing in kilns. Very refreshing to see ceramics in a completely different light. His pieces show a very successful tie between concept and luxurious reality. Furthermore, I do feel that with the right attention, the piece with the sheepskin mankinis possesses the power to kickstart a male swimwear revolution. Or at least a new trend in wireless headphones… Here’s to hoping that the artist doesn’t mind my having one of his pieces to create the header above -Not my fault really; I mean, when that ceramic strumpet saw me creating the heading, she just swung onto the “a” and wouldn’t let go…
