Women lose embryo battle

Category:Politics/Current affairs Oct 1st, 2003 2:00am

Two women have lost their High Court battle to use their frozen embryos against the will of their former partners.
WTF? They honestly didn’t think the guys should have a say in whether they could be forced to become fathers against their will? How would the women like it if the situation was reversed and they could be forced to become pregnant against their will? Wouldn’t they have found that tantamount to something worse than rape?

“The women said if they had fallen pregnant naturally, and then split up with their partners, the men would have no say over whether or not they could have their babies.”

If they had fallen pregnant naturally, it would have been when they were still with their ex-partners, mean implicit/explicit interest and consent on the men’s part, therefore a completely different situation.
