China refuses to back down on textiles.
Rock on! F–k the hypocritical hissy fitters. Why should China cut exports? Given that the relevant WTO trade agreement was not made overnight, if EU and US had lifted their textile quotas gradually, their markets wouldn’t have become flooded due to sudden impact once the quota system expired. Quit wailing outside and look inside; traders and consumers have a right to buy from where/whom they please and China isn’t forcing anyone to buy from them y’know. Stop hiding behind the currency issue; the Yuan has been pegged to the dollar forever, why is it now that it matters? “Artificially devalued” my ass! There are several other countries who also peg their currencies to the US dollar in the same way but I guess no problems for them unless they dare to gain trade edge or threaten some over-subsidized industry’s ass.
